$1.25 An Hour – The Biggest Music Download Ever…

Images Disclaimer: This may not be the biggest music download ever, but it's big. A classical music label in the UK has released The Complete Piano Music, by Franz Liszt; it's a digital version of a 99-CD box set. The download weighs in at about 26GB for the FLAC download, and 12GB for the MP3s. In total, there are 1,464 tracks, which take up more than 7,350 minutes – or 122 hours.

Still not convinced that this may be the biggest music download ever?

This set happens to hold the Guinness World Record for the world's largest recording series by a solo artist. So there. It costs £200 after an 25% discount offered by Hyerion Records. It's a steal too. The physical box set costs £100 more. It's either that, or spend your next day off ripping 99 CDs. So what do you think? Is this the biggest music download ever or have you downloaded larger?

  1. Seriously, though, that’s looks like quite a box set – and, yes, I’d have to agree that it takes the cake.
