  • @ CES: RDIO announced integration with Sonos home music systems (Evolver.fm) and Clear Channel extended the reach of it's iheartradio online channels into Toyota and other auto stereos. (FMQB) Integration of online music apps into both home and auto hardware is a major trend at this year's CES.
  • VEVO announced a new artist program ‘Lift.’ Official launch is during the People’s Choice Awards with a new Emerging Artist award category for the 2012 show that allows fans to vote for their fav from VEVO’s 2011 Lift artists. So far, "new" seems to mean new to to a major label.
  • Apple has launched the Mac App Store with 1000+ apps including Garageband 11 and other music applications.
