ShareSquare The more linked together an artist's marketing efforts are, the more likely they are to succeed.  But integrating online campaigns effectively with the physical music world (live gigs, merchandise, etc) has been tricky. Startup ShareSquare hopes to bring both world's together with their self-serve platform that ties a QR code (image on left) in the real world to a custom HTML5 mobile web app.

Details & Free Beta Invites:

Using a smartphone, fans can immediately access video, download tracks, connect on Facebook & Twitter, and purchase tickets. The goal is to makes each  point of physical contact easily actionable: the album cover, poster, sticker, merchandise tag, and more becomes a rich point of discovery.  ShareSquare also enables ssponsorship opportunities with demo and geo targeted brands that add a new revenue stream to making the artist’s existing promotions.

A current campaign for Disney artist Mitchel Musso, for example, added a ShareSquare QR code to packaging on 10,000 of albums in Walmart.  Every day until Christmas one person who scans the code will win a signed album, in essence turning the QR code into a digital scratch-and-win ticket.
