Seeqpod A downed Seeqpod may be farther from relaunching than CEO Kasian Franks had hoped. Microsoft is interested in buying some of Seeqpod's assets form Chapter 11 as Hypebot reported Friday. The problem for Franks and the many fans of his playlistable search engine is that the tech giant does not appear interested in the music part of the Seeqpod's assets and only wants the others if they come at fire sale prices. "Seeqpod is indeed speaking with Microsoft, but not about an outright acquisition. Rather, it is trying to negotiate a piecemeal sale of its technology aGun to his head ssets and find new jobs for its core technology team," reportes Techcrunch's Erick Schonfeld.

Score one more Pyrrhic victory for the major labels: another popular music discovery engine has been destroyed.
