MySpaceMp3 Hack Closed But Goes Public With Code

MySpaceMp3.org, a hack we wrote about late last week that enabled users to easily download mp3’s from the hundreds of thousands of songs streamed on MySpace, has been closed. But the creator is sharing the underlying code openly on the net.

The Spanish programmer claims that MySpace forced the site closer and offers emails to prove it.  He is offering the code used to create the offending download site free "for informational purposes only."

  2. Although a WIPO arbitration would probably have resulted in his loss of the domain name, it is troubling to see the domain name registrar take this action with no order from a court or other governing authority.
