Court Ruling Means Your P2P Use Could Haunt You Forever

Late last week, a federal judge in Los Angeles last week ruled (PDF) that a computer or computer server’s RAM is a tangible document that can be stored and therefore must be turned over in a lawsuit. 

If the ruling stands, it raises major concerns for privacy activists.  And years from now that 15 minutes you spent on Limewire finding that Beck bootleg, could come back to haunt you…
