Net Broadcasters Get Reprieve As They Lobby Congress
The Copyright Royalty Board yesterday published new higher rates in the Federal Register yesterday. (pdf) Included was a surprised reprieve for broadcasters which moved the
effective date of the ruling from mid-May to July 15th.
The reprieve came on the same day that broadcasters were on Capital Hill lobbying Congressmen to co-sponsor a bill that would roll back the new rates that many believe would cripple net radio.
