The Orchard Bloomed At MIDEM

Digital distributor The Orchard held its fourth international sales conference in Cannes on the eve of MIDEM last month.  At the session The Orchard’s global leadership team reviewed 2006 and looked toOrchard_23 2007’s regional release schedules, implementation of new marketing tools and programs, and a series
of sales operations investments that will change the logistics of local content delivery. 

During MIDEM The Orchard also announced a number of agreements, including an Sanctuary_3
exclusive sales and marketing agreement with the troubled Sanctuary Records Group and the distribution of the classical label Alia Vox. A partnership was announced with Aquamedia, Spain’s largest mobile service as well as with Ericsson to distribute full track downloads and master tones from Orchard labels across Ericsson’s global network and via its hosted white-label content offerings outside the U.S.  Other announcements included deals with Musicane and Muzak.
