Women’s Audio Mission announces WAMCon Conference 2025

Women’s Audio Mission (WAM) has announced the return of its acclaimed conference, WAMCon, to Los Angeles on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the iconic Village Studios. The one-day immersive event will gather some of the most influential producers, engineers, and artists in contemporary music to empower women and gender-expansive creatives in audio and music production. Now in its 14th year, WAMCon has earned a reputation for bringing together industry leaders and emerging talent for a day of hands-on workshops, panel discussions, and mentoring. The 2025 edition will expand its programming to include both studio production and live concert sound, offering attendees rare insight into the technical and creative processes that power modern music. Topics will range from Dolby Atmos mixing and vocal production to modular synthesis, songwriting, and live sound engineering.

This year’s featured guests include a powerhouse lineup of Grammy-winning and -nominated professionals: K.Flay, artist and producer; Leslie Ann Jones, producer and engineer at Skywalker Sound; Suzy Shinn, producer and songwriter (Dua Lipa, Alicia Keys, Weezer); Eva Reistad, engineer and producer (Dune: Part Two, Alien: Romulus); and Amanda Davis, live sound engineer for Janelle Monáe and Tegan & Sara. Other mentors include Joanna Fang, Emmy-winning Foley artist; Maureen Droney, VP of the Recording Academy’s Producers & Engineers Wing; and Rayna Zemel, playback engineer for Dua Lipa and Lana Del Rey.

“The goal of WAMCon has always been to open doors for creators who are underrepresented in the technical side of music,” said Terri Winston, Founder and Executive Director of Women’s Audio Mission. “This year’s return to The Village Studios — an environment steeped in music history — creates the perfect backdrop for inspiration and connection.” Originally a 1920s Masonic Temple, The Village Studios has played host to legends like Fleetwood Mac, Bob Dylan, and The Rolling Stones, as well as modern icons including Lady Gaga and Coldplay.

WAMCon 2025 is supported by Dolby, Sweetwater, Focusrite, Meyer Sound, Solid State Logic, Biamp, and WAVE at Encore Global.

About Women’s Audio Mission

Women’s Audio Mission (WAM) is a San Francisco-based nonprofit dedicated to the advancement of women and gender-expansive people in music production and the recording arts, fields in which they are critically underrepresented. WAM uses music and media arts training, mentorship, and conferences to serve over 2,500 women, girls, and gender-expansive people annually in order to inspire them to amplify their voices and become the music producers, recording engineers and innovators of tomorrow. In a field where women are critically underrepresented (less than 5%), WAM seeks to “change the face of sound” by providing hands-on training, experience, career counseling and job placement in media technology for music, radio, film, television and the internet. WAM believes that women/gender-diverse individuals’ mastery of music technology and inclusion in the production process will expand the vision and voice of media and popular culture.
