A myriad of advances to major labels, fine print and legal trickery makes it **impossible to declare one service more artist friendly** than another. But occasionally **something emerges** that sheds a bit of light.

Apple Music pays **13.5%**.

Therefore, each stream on Apple Music pays **33%** more in publishing royalties than most other streaming music services.
