Apple announced impressive [financial results](http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2010/10/18results.html?ref=hypebot.com) for its fiscal Q4 ending September 25th posting record revenue of $20.34B and net quarterly profit of $4.31B. Gross margin was 36.9 %. International sales accounted for 57% of revenue. iPod sales, however, aren't soaring like they used to as users embrace the iPhone for multiple uses.

In touting the results, [Steve Jobs added](http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/10/18/steve-jobs-our-approach-is-better-than-googles/?ref=hypebot.com) that the iPhone would beat Android; and that Apple's way of doing business was better than Google's "fragmented" approach.
