### Who are you, and what do you do?

Hey! [Alicia Warrington](https://youtu.be/U7Y2Q7fQ5qE?ref=hypebot.com) here. I have played drums for a few different people. If you have kids around your house (or you are a closeted Disney fan) you might have seen me on the Disney Channel’s “Hannah Montana” w/ Miley Cyrus, or on video with Selena Gomez OR back in the day, drumming for Kelly Osbourne on MTV’s “The Osbournes” tv show.I’ve been playing for years, with artists like: [Lillix](https://twitter.com/lillixonline?lang=en&ref=hypebot.com), [Lacey Sturm](http://www.laceysturm.com/?ref=hypebot.com) (Flyleaf), [The Dollyrots](http://www.dollyrots.com/?ref=hypebot.com), [Uh Huh Her](http://www.uhhuhher.com/?ref=hypebot.com), [Dawn Robinson](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dawn%5FRobinson?ref=hypebot.com) (En Vogue), [Chris Rene](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris%5FRene?ref=hypebot.com) (X-Factor), [Tracy Chapman](http://www.tracychapman.com/?ref=hypebot.com), [Colton Dixon](http://www.coltondixon.com/?ref=hypebot.com)(American Idol) and for the past 3 years, I have been drumming for British singer, [Kate Nash](http://www.katenash.com/?ref=hypebot.com).Currently, you can catch me with Detroit Garage-Rock Queens…[Gore Gore Girls](http://www.goregoregirls.com/?ref=hypebot.com) and with my solo DEATH METAL project,[DOHRN](https://dohrn.bandcamp.com/?ref=hypebot.com). OH! And I also host my own YouTube web series, that starts in May! It’s called, “[Heavy Wrestle](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7W2clCPzo9CK1JCy0vPoDg?ref=hypebot.com)". Yeah, it’s true…I’m also a HUGE wrestling nerd. Pro Wrestling, Indie Wrestling. Just…wrestling.Phew! Sounds like I’m all over the place. It’s always been like this, I’VE always been like this. I grew up listening to all types of music and that followed me into adulthood and into my professional career. I basically listen to everything from Dolly Parton to Lamb Of God.

### What hardware do you use?

I was confused by this question but then, I looked at your other interviews and like [Janet Weiss](https://watt.cashmusic.org/writing/backlinejanetweiss?ref=hypebot.com)said, “Funny to ask a drummer about hardware because to us that is a literal question”, but you mean EVERYTHING. Well, my main drum kit is a [Ludwig Custom Maple](http://www.ludwig-drums.com/en-us/ludwig/products/drumkits?ref=hypebot.com): 22” 12” 18” with either a [14” Hammered Brass](http://www.ludwig-drums.com/en-us/ludwig/products/snare-drums/hammered-brass?ref=hypebot.com) snare or a [13” Maple Snare](http://www.ludwig-drums.com/en-us/ludwig/products/snare-drums/classic-maple?ref=hypebot.com). [Ludwig double-braced hardware](https://www.google.com/?ref=hypebot.com). Depending on the gig, I also use a [10” Ludwig Epic side snare](http://www.guitarcenter.com/Ludwig/Epic-Side-Snare-Drum-with-Mount.gc?ref=hypebot.com). I LOVE snare drums. I have quite a few for recording and whatnot. One of my favs is a [1970’s Ludwig Marching snare](https://reverb.com/item/120847-ludwig-12-x-15-marching-snare-drum-1970-s-stainless-steel?ref=hypebot.com). I always end up with bruises when I use that one. Haha.Cymbals! I am in love with [Paiste](http://www.paiste.com/e/cymbalfam.php?menuid=3&ref=hypebot.com). My usual setup: [18” Signature Crash](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQdhlaSbV0A&ref=hypebot.com), [19” 2002 Crash](http://www.musiciansfriend.com/drums-percussion/paiste-2002-crash-cymbal?ref=hypebot.com), [22” 2002 Crash](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5heLvb8lKo0&ref=hypebot.com) (instead of a ride) and [14” Twenty Custom Hi-Hats](http://memphisdrumshop.com/paiste-14-inch-twenty-custom-metal-hi-hat-cymbals-5156414?ref=hypebot.com). I’m also a fan of my [18” Thin Alpha Swiss](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fXG48FdiVw&ref=hypebot.com) and [22” Blue Bell Ride](http://paiste.com/e/cymbals.php?category=1&family=3&action=category&menuid=238&ref=hypebot.com).I use coated [Aquarian Drumheads](http://www.aquariandrumheads.com/?ref=hypebot.com)! [Impact III](http://shop.aquariandrumheads.com/c/bass-drumheads%5Fimpact-iii%5Fcoated?ref=hypebot.com) on my Kick, [Hi-Velocity](http://www.aquariandrumheads.com/products/acoustic-heads/snare-heads/hi-velocity/?ref=hypebot.com), [Hi-Impact](http://www.aquariandrumheads.com/products/acoustic-heads/snare-heads/hi-impact/?ref=hypebot.com) and [Studio-X ](http://www.aquariandrumheads.com/products/acoustic-heads/tom-tom-snare-drumheads/studio-x/?ref=hypebot.com)on my snares, [Response II](http://www.aquariandrumheads.com/products/acoustic-heads/tom-tom-heads/response-2-series/?ref=hypebot.com) on my toms. Aquarians are the best for me because, they are super durable and excellent on tuning.Pro-Mark is my stick of choice. I use the [Anton Fig model](http://www.musiciansfriend.com/accessories/promark-anton-fig-signature-drumsticks?ref=hypebot.com) with the “Warrington Custom” adjustments. Haha. I have them double-dipped in black [ActiveGrip](http://www.idrumchicago.com/get-a-grip-promarks-new-active-grip-drum-stick-review/?ref=hypebot.com)…helps with extra stick control. And finally, I use [K-Brakes](https://www.kbrakes.com/?ref=hypebot.com)…which are amazing and fit on the end of your kick legs to keep it in place. It doesn’t move ANYWHERE with these things on (and I beat the hell out of my drums).

### And what software?

At home, I record with [Logic Pro-X](https://www.apple.com/logic-pro/?ref=hypebot.com). I HATE reading directions or having someone teach me gear and this program was pretty easy to me to figure out. It sounds great and gets the job done. I also use [Apogee Maestro 2](http://www.apogeedigital.com/products/maestro?ref=hypebot.com), [Duet audio interface](http://www.apogeedigital.com/products/duet?ref=hypebot.com), [Arturia Analog Lab midi-controller](https://www.arturia.com/products/hybrid-synths/minilab/overview?ref=hypebot.com) and [JBL powered studio monitors](https://www.sweetwater.com/c404--JBL--Studio%5FMonitors?ref=hypebot.com).

### What would be your dream setup?

A [Ludwig Legacy Mahogany kit](http://www.ludwig-drums.com/en-us/ludwig/products/drumkits/legacy-mahogany?ref=hypebot.com) with either, onyx or white marine finish
