# BandPage Expands Rhapsody Integration With Concert Push Notifications

Slowly but surely, digital music services are adding tools that enable direct engagement; and **BandPage** has been leading the charge.

Direct to fan music marketing platform [BandPage](https://www.bandpage.com/?ref=hypebot.com) has expanded its partnership with Rhapsody to include concert push notifications.

Starting today, [Rhapsody](http://www.rhapsody.com/?ref=hypebot.com) users will receive concert alerts based on their listening, preferences and geography. They are delivered via push notifications and Rhapsody’s mobile app Inbox messaging system. Fans are linked directly to a ticketing website where they can make a purchase.

BandPage also has similar deals to deliver artist info and VIP offers via Spotify, Deezer, Shazam, YouTube, LyricFind and others, but this is the first partnership to add concert push notifications.

“The new notification feature from BandPage and Rhapsody is a huge win­win for artists and music fans,” says Bryan Calhoun, Digital Strategist for Maverick/The Blueprint Group, G­Eazy, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and The Roots. “We’re constantly looking at ways to help artists reach fans about upcoming shows in the moment they are listening to the artist’s music. The push notification will enable musicians to increase revenue in a natural way within the streaming service, and ultimately shorten the distance between a fan finding out about an offer and being able to act on it.”

Like the VIP ticket and merch push notifications currently delivered by BandPage and Rhapsody, these event notifications are sent to fans in the exact moment they are engaged with the artist’s music. If an artist already has music on Rhapsody, they can start leveraging this new feature by simply adding new tour dates to their BandPage profiles. Then BandPage will automatically begin searching for the best fans to receive messages about the artist’s upcoming tour.
