Downtown Music announced on Thursday that it has completed the merger of CD Baby’s operations into Downtown.

Downtown now supports over 4 million artists and 5,000 business clients in 150 countries who collectively generated over 1.5 trillion streams across major streaming platforms in 2023.

Downtown acquired CD Baby in 2019, but this latest combination of resources began a year ago with layoffs and the exit of several popular long-time CD Baby staffers including **Kevin Breuner** and **Chris Robley**, who both landed at BandLab,

As part of the new integration, Downtown Music Holdings named **Pieter van Rijn** CEO of Downtown Music, reporting to **Andrew Bergman**, Downtown Music Holdings CEO.
