# Deezer Is Coming To America: Hires U.S. CEO

In the latest sign that Deezer will launch in America this year, the French based music streaming service has hires a U.S. CEO. Tyler Goldman, the former chief of now defunct video on demand music service Movielink has been hired to run a San Francisco office. By most measures, Deezer is the #1 or #2 most popular music streaming service globally.

Deezer has said it hopes to find a launch partner before opening in the world's largest music market.

In an interesting twist, Deezer's biggest shareholder is Guillaume d'Hauteville, the VP of Warner Music owner Len Blavatnik's Access Industries fund. Blavatnik is one of the biggest investors in streaming competitor Beats Music.
