Venture capitalist DEV (Digital Entertainment Ventures), who recently made an early stage investment in online live platform [StageIt](https://www.hypebot.com/new-vc-dev-launches-with-investment-in-online-live-music-platform-stageit/), has launched DEV Advisors, offering consulting services to digital media companies. Music and digital industry veteran Dick Wingate, has left his position as General Manager, East Coast Business Development for digital consultancy TAG Strategic, to join DEV as Principal.

At launch, [DEV Advisors](https://www.hypebot.com/new-vc-dev-launches-with-investment-in-online-live-music-platform-stageit/) clients include iJukebox, an interactive music streaming service amied at businesses; Talking Media Group, a database for buyers and sellers of digital media, publishing and entertainment; and imbookin, an online distribution channel for venues to list and market their availability.

Wingate’s career spans more than three decades in music and interactive media. Prior to TAG, Wingate was President, Media Development & CCO for Nellymoser, an early provider of rich media mobile applications. During his years as SVP, Content Development, at Liquid Audio, the team created the first end-to-end secure digital music platform. He's also held senior positions at several major record labels including Arista, Polygram, Epic and Columbia.
