Last week Disney warned the U.S. Trademark Office that it may challenge a trademark filed by Joel Zimmerman, better known as EDM star Deadmau5 (pronounced dead mouse). Zimmerman's Ronica Holdings Limited is hoping to trademark a black and white graphic of a mouse that Disney is concerned could infringe upon its iconic Mickey Mouse trademark.

DeadMau5, who performs with his head covered by a giant mouse head, has filed a registration would include entertainment services, electrical and scientific apparatus, BMX bikes, paper goods, leather goods, toys and sporting goods and foods and beverages, according to the [Hollywood Reporter](http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/thr-esq/deadmau5-v-mickey-mouse-trademark-692442?ref=hypebot.com).

Disney has asked for 90 days to respond.
