Touring 101 was written by longtime booking agent Bruce Houghton, who is also [Berklee](https://www.hypebot.com/berklee-onlines-class-of-2024-a-testament-to-tenacity/) professor, the Editor of Hypebot and a Senior Advisor to Bandsintown.

This short four-lesson Berklee [Coursera course](https://www.coursera.org/learn/touring-101-for-musicians?ref=hypebot.com) draws on key lessons and strategies from Houghton’s popular [**Berklee Online Touring 101**](https://online.berklee.edu/courses/touring-101?ref=hypebot.com) degree and certificate course.

“Live gigs are where most artists earn 80-90% of their income, particularly in the streaming era,” says Houghton. “So it’s essential that they and the managers and agents that work with them learn how to do it well.”
