According to The Hollywood Reporter, the CBS live broadcast of the awards show posted a 16.1 overnight rating among Nielsen's metered market households Monday night, off from last year's a 16.7 overnight rating.

The Grammys did slide in one key area, with the 2016 edition of the awards show down roughly 8 percent over the 2015 telecast's average 8.5 rating among adults 18-49 and 25.3 million viewers.

Overall, the Grammys took the top spot for entertainment telecast in the admittedly brief 2016 thus far.

Flat ratings or not, the Grammy's did provide a boost pushing up streams on [Pandora](https://www.hypebot.com/pandora-shares-post-grammy-streaming-bump-and-its-very-different-from-spotifys/) and [Spotify](https://www.hypebot.com/spotify-tracks-post-grammy-streaming-bump/), though elevated very [different artists](https://www.hypebot.com/pandora-shares-post-grammy-streaming-bump-and-its-very-different-from-spotifys/).
