Hollywood Learns To Love File Sharing. Why Can’t The Labels?

Home Entertainment Group who has made a deal to make feature films available for download via file sharing network BitTorrent. "The way we’re positioning this within Warner Bros. is, let’s take the problem and turn it into an opportunity. If we can convert 5, 10 or 15% of these users into legitimate customers, we think it can have a significant impact." – LA Times

Studies have proven to the film industry that Apple’s iTunes is converting some illegal downloaders into paying consumers.  So they’re emracing downloading and going one step farther to work with faster and more popular file sharing systems like BitTorrent.

Now if only somebody at the record labels would get this memo…
