– Smithsonian Folkways Recordings announced that it has selected The Orchard as the exclusive marketing and digital distribution partner for its deep and diverse catalgue.

EMI MUSIC PUBLISHING TAKES TOP PUBLISHER HONORS

AT ASCAP AND BMI AWARDS

LOS ANGELES, May 23, 2006 — EMI Music Publishing continued its unprecedented streak of success taking top honors at both ASCAP and BMI’s Pop Publisher of the Year Awards for 2006. The ASCAP Awards, announced in Los Angeles last night (Monday 22), saw EMI take the top spot for both Publisher of the Year and also Song of the Year for writer and producer Jermaine Dupri for his Mariah Carey hit song ‘We Belong Together."

The ASCAP Awards saw EMI Music Publishing take 17 top song honors, while last week’s BMI Awards (also in Los Angeles) saw 18 song awards going to the company in what has been described it as a "landslide" win for EMI Music Publishing.

The winning EMI Music Publishing songs at the BMI Awards (held on May 16) were:
