Goldberg & New West Form New Label Ammal

Cameron Strang, president of New West Records, and industry veteran Danny Goldberg have teamed to create a new independent record label, Ammal Records. Goldberg will head the label and be the Dannygoldbergcreative force behind the new venture. Ammal will have its office and staff in New York and will provide A&R functions as well as contribute to the marketing and promotional efforts of its r eleases. New West will provide promotions and marketing. Distribution will be handled by New West’s long time distributor, RED distribution.

Goldberg is in discussions with a number of artists and hopes to announce his first signing in the near future. Goldberg also recently formed Gold Village Entertainment, a company that will be involved in all aspects of the music industry beginning with personal management. His first clients are Steve Earle and Allison Moorer; Earle previously signed with New West Records.  (Celebrity Access)

  1. That SOB almost sunk AAR with his incompetence. He is not creating anything except shuffling portofolios.

  2. Goldberg didn’t almost sink Air America. He inherited a ship that was already filling with water, as the HBO documentary “Left of the Dial” (filmed BEFORE Goldberg got involved with Air America” proves. Keeping Air America alive long enough for it to be passed on was a major achievement. And the left should stop eating its own, Albert.
