This Week’s UK Indietore Picks

Fake Sensations‘Nostalgia’/’Forget Tomorrow’
The irresistible Fake Sensations make a very welcome return to the indiestore chart with two corking new tracks. We’re big fans of their charming electro loveliness and in precisely one listen time you will be too. Fame is a formality we’d like to think.Uk_flag_9

Mother Black Cap ‘Chemicals’
By turns sounding much gentler than perhaps their name suggests and in the blink of an eye, knocking you back on your heels, we’re very much liking the work of this London-based quartet. A Feeder with boxing gloves, if you’re up for a musical metaphor.

Alvin DavisRaileh Bay’

If you like your jazz to be nu, look no further than the impressive Alvin Davis. His chilled ambient flavour really reminds us of the cracking A Man Called Adam, which is no bad thing. One of the smoothest sounding indiestore’s we’ve heard in some time.

  1. I listened to Fake Sensations. Unfortunately the audio quality is horrible. It’s impossible to tell if that is the result of the media player or if that is the intended sound the artist was looking for. In any case, I can’t imagine many sales after potential customers listen to the posted files.
