INgrooves Provides Details Of New Affordable Distribution Platform ONE Digital

UPDATE: Last week reported that INgrooves’ has launched ONE Digital, a new division to house its technology
platform and offer digital distribution and royalty
administration at rates below the industry standard.  One Digital delivers digital distribution and administrative services for as low
as $1 and 1%. This kind of breakthrough pricing should improve the
business model of many niche music providers and we wanted to learn more.

V2 Music and others have already
committed to
use ONE Digital for over 50,000 song titles. The company expects to planning to add “on-demand” royalty payments and customized sales report
generation as early as mid 2007.

We asked INgrooves for more details:

ONE Digital is currently
targeted to larger independent record labels, production studios and physical
distribution companies.  Clients with at least 1,000 songs can plug into this
software platform and receive full distribution and monthly royalty accounting
services for $1/song per year maintenance fee and 1% of sales.  This will place
their content on over 200 online retail websites and dozens of mobile
storefronts.  Clients use ONE Digital’s automated content management tools to
upload their media into the ONE Digital platform.  Additionally, clients will
have the option to “stream” key releases over to INgrooves, the leading digital
label, to access its marketing and licensing services to bring more attention to
that specific release (these releases would then be subject to the INgrooves
revenue split model).
