    The language in the NAB PDF tips their hand. The words “tax” and “foreign record label conglomerates” are well-worn buzzwords used by the right to trigger fear and obscure clarity.
    Intellectual property royalties are not taxes – period, so that’s a lie. Also, the right wing loves to fan fears about foreigners destroying America. Since most of the label share is foreign owned, the reference is a total distraction and irrelevant to the merit of the proposal.
    Hmmmm… of all the NAB constituents, I wonder which one is owned by hard right Christian Republicans… ? I think the answer is Clear (Channel).
