Loyal reader to Hypebot, but question your commentary on the Perez Hilton deal. Is it really that crazy that a high profile blogger can be a tastemaker? In my mind, any vehicle with a loyal audience – be it celebrity blog, magazine, Oprah, a high school kid who is a popular – can be a tastemaker? in a long-tail world, aren’t these curators best-positioned to play an A+R role?
Rich, I agree with your comment to a point but is Perez a really tastemaker or a rumor monger and attention whore?
