Cracks In UK ISP Crackdown Surface

What appeared to be a united front to fight UK P2P piracy is already showing signs of wear and  tear just one day after an agreement with ISP’s to crackdown on offenders was announced.

“I think this is an extraordinarily dangerous point that we find ourselves in, where what’s being asked for is the beginning of censorship and taking sanctions against people without normal burden of proof you would have to present in a court,” – Charles Dunstone, CEO of Carphone Warehouse, the UK’s 3rd largest ISP

Late yesterday the BPI  was forced to clarify that the agreement announced was for warning letters and education and not a full "3 strikes an you’re out" campaign.
