Digital distributor The Orchard has signed three labels to the physical sales distribution unit it recently  acquired along with TVT Records. The deals with Acrobat Music, Ernest Jenning Record Co. and Wu Music Group expand upon The Orchard’s existing digital distribution and marketing deals with the labels.

Upcoming physical releases:

The first releases will come from Acrobat Music, a specialty label based in the UK, on October 21. Releases include albums from Miles Davis and Dave Brubeck among many others, on the label’s Premier Collection imprint. All of the Premier Collection titles are showcased in “deluxe packaging” with unique, consistent packaging that includes an o-card, extensive liner notes and either a large number of tracks or lengthy playing time.

Releases from Wu Music Group will follow, beginning in December with Wu-Tang Killa Bees: The Swarm Vol. II, the hotly anticipated follow up the 1998 all-star classic, The Swarm Vol. I. In January, fans will be able to purchase Afro Samurai: Volume II The Resurrection, and in March, the latest release by Solomon Childs will hit shelves at retailers nationwide.

Ernest Jenning Record Co. have a number of releases slated for late 2008 and early 2009 in the CD, LP and 7” formats. New releases by Takka Takka, Pegasuses-XL, Dalek, The Black Hollies, and hot up-and-comers The Nouvellas and Still Flyin’ will all see physical release through The Orchard/TVT, as well as digital release.
