MTV Vet Sykes New Project Playlist CEO

Project playlist UPDATED: Project Playlist got an instant dose of music industry cred with its new CEO – MTV co-founder John Sykes. Sykes peplaces Owen Van Natta, who has joined MySpace. Van Natta will continue as an advisor to Playlist.

Sykes who was serving on the Project Playlist board had spent more than 25 years with MTV Networks, but left last year. His long standing music industry should help Project Playlist as it continues to do battle in the courts with Universal, WMG and the RIAA.

MTV Co-founder and Former VH-1 President Replaces Owen Van Natta

Palo Alto, Calif., April 24, 2009 – Playlist, the leading social

John Sykes has joined the company as Chief Executive Officer.  As a
