CD Baby Grows Up With New Design & Features
In additon to a new design, new features include:
- artist pages that house multiple releases
- single song downloads at variable prices
- direct uploading of new material eliminating a cumbersome mail-in process
Yeah, it LOOKS better, but they’ve got a TON of bugs to work out still!
Yeah, they appear to have lost my wishlist.
I think patience is in order, has a major upgrade of anything ever gone entirely smoothly?
Very true, very true. Patience is in order, especially since we don’t really have a choice. On the other hand, why did they bother? The old CDBaby was great, why fix something that wasn’t broken?
If it ain’t broke don’t fix it, surely has application to this situation.
Unfortunately, many functions of the CD Baby site now appear to be broken, as a consequence of the “fix”.
Having been with CD Baby since 2002, we really hope this is not the end of a beautiful friendship.
As well as the official forums at http://www.cdbaby.org – a couple of CD Baby artists have created pages for us to all discuss what’s happening:
