  1. I’m really impressed by Ian’s transparency, he didn’t have to offer disclosure but he went ahead and did with the #topspin.
And honestly he shouldn’t have had to defend his musical taste to Lefsetz…Bob is forever talking about shitty music he likes in his daily emails.
I had the pleasure to meet Ian at #sfmusictech on Monday and he is the complete opposite of a hater and very passionate about music and the space.

  2. Thank God someone finally called out Lefse for the egomaniac and psychotic he is. I subscribed to his newsletter for a short time because I was told he offered a unique perspective on the music business. But after a few months, I could no longer stomach his drivel. The final straw was when he went on and on about some surgery he had or needed or wanted or heard about or reviewed or tweeted about or….. I often wondered how Lefse could manage to go on and on and on in his posts without regard for cohesiveness or the normal attention span most of his readers would have and my only conclusion was that he was permanently in the “high” stage of a manic episode. Add to that his holier-than-thou attitude and less-than-interesting outlook and opinions.
While many true artists struggle every day to produce work of merit, Bob sits on his throne and crudely and rudely denounces nearly every one of them as unworthy of his (and our) patronage. Only one question remains: where is Bob’s own work that lifts and inspires the human race?
