What’s telling (if totally obvious) is that most of these tracks are from the last 2 years. If 1999 was the top year for CD sales, when will be top sales for digital downloads? Was it 2009, or is it still in the future?
I think this has alot to do with feature placement on itunes. Something indies rarely receive and itunes is very picky about.
further proof that there’s really the “entertainment” industry (as noted in the top10) and then the “music” industry (as noted in 1000s of talented independent and semi-independent musicians).
