  1. Well, let me comment on these one by one:
    1) it’s been a special market all along.
    2) RIP. We all know that the media hype brought back his catalogue.
    3) No, their reissue campaign is alive and well.
    4) Is this a biased assumption?
    5) I’ve been making mixtapes for a while for friends that I would count among the Starbucks crowd which were met with usually good reception, so I guess I know something about this crowd that I’d like to share here. People want to be in a comfortable environment where they can relax when they listen to recorded music. And they don’t necessarily want to do that alone in the anonymity of their own home, nor do they want to bother with clicking away boxes as their computer is performing downloads of safety updates in the background, since that is too much office atmosphere to chill or hang out.
    But to counter point 5) in the list: Why have Starbucks sold their Hear Music label to Concord then?
