  • File-Sharing and Link Sites Declared Legal in Spain – After early calls to shut down a Spanish file-sharing site were dismissed, music group SGAE pinned its hopes on success at the full trial. But, the outcome for them was nothing short of a disaster. The judge declared that both non-commercial file-sharing link sites and non-profit use of P2P networks are legal in Spain. (TorrentFreak)
  • Primary Wave, the music publishing, marketing and artist management firm, has entered into an agreement with EMI Music’s Label Services unit for North American distribution for Primary Wave’s label.  The two companies will also release select artists via a joint venture. The first Primary Wave release via EM will be the debut album from Stillwater Oklahoma rock band Taddy Porter slated for June 2010.
