Google has launched a new App Inventor for Android; it's a new, free, and easy to use tool, that any artist can figure out how to use.  To take advantage of the platform, no programming experience is required. Instead of writing code, users can visually design the way the apps looks and use blocks to specify the app's behavior.  All you need is a Gmail account and you can start creating a new app.
