This morning MOG launched MogMusicNetwork.com to showcase the top content produced by it's network of more that 1200 mostly volunteer music bloggers. Together the blogs attract 20 million plus monthly unique visitors. In addition to serving as a filter and helping key stories to go viral, the new site also frees the company's anchor MOG.com site to focus on its growing streaming music offering.
While some original content will be created for MogMusicNetwork, the focus will be primarily on using automated technology to showcase the most popular content created by its bloggers. "Think of this as like Glam.com is to the Glam Network," according to MOG Ceo David Hyman, referring to the feminine focused network, which is also anchored by a content portal.
