New This Week On Music Think Tank

Capture333It’s been an exciting week over at Music Think Tank; some insightful posts have appeared on our sister blog and I wanted to take moment to share them.

Brian Hazard has penned a post about creating individual edition CDs for his fans. Since every mix down of an album is a little different; he thought it would be interesting to sell his fans their own personalized custom albums. Mix downs are like snowflakes and 13 of Brian’s fans bought them for $100 apiece.

Next, Jonathan Ostrow put together a comprehensive guide to fan-funding. He covers just about everything that you'd want to know, along with all the various options that musicians have when thinking about fan-funding their next project.

Finally, Ariel Hyatt has done a deep overview of the four cases you need to know about and how they affect the music industry; the post features a interview with entertainment lawyer Joyce Dollinger. All great posts—not to be missed.
