BandPage Provides Performance Royalties To Artists On Facebook
(UPDATED) BandPage is a free Facebook app that streamlines the online presence of artists within the social network. The app and music resource developer RootMusic behind the app has created a YouTube tracks feature that enables musicians to collect royalties with each play of their song through their BandPage media player on Facebook.
Also, RootMusic has released the new 520 pixel version of BandPage; it’s a "slimmer and more efficient" version.

Are they simply announcing that they can help enroll you in YouTube’s partner’s program: http://www.youtube.com/partners
Which you can do by yourself (its free and open to artists), and get paid directly from YouTube.
Is that it? Or is there more to this feature?
Also, does Root Music collect affiliate fees for every Artist they enroll into YouTube’s program? If so, would that reduce my royalties from YouTube if I signed up via Roots Music versus just going direct to YouTube?
