% Of Ent. Budget Spent On Music Continues Decline
A new Nielson study that focuses on the habits of video game buyers also showed a dramatic decrease in their music spending when compared to other forms of entertainment. Some out-of-home activities including dining out and cell phone spending showed increases, which might be good news for the live music industry, which was not measured in the study.
This kind of goes along with it. People who used to get into music as a lifestyle may now be shifting to food. It’s not that they won’t keep listening to it, but their money might be shifting to food.
