The entire process is being broadcast live at http://partyontheinternet.com from Mad Oak Studios, in Allston, MA. The album will be released through bandcamp tomorrow (Tuesday, April 26).

Rethink Music: Creativity, Commerce and Policy in the 21st Century is being presented by Berklee College of Music and MIDEM in association with Harvard University's Berkman Center and Business School in Boston this week.

  1. This is kinda sad actually. Is this what musicians have to be now , clowns in a circus doing stunts ?

  2. It’s not sad. It’s innovative.
    Your statement makes it sound as if acts signed to a major label didn’t have to jump through hoops and do unsavory publicity events, corporate gigs or other degrading things in order to stay relevant. At least they are doing something they dreamed up for their fans instead of something a label executive insisted upon.

  3. This is *sad*? This is *awesome*. They’re sitting in a room co-writing. This is what the pros do all the time, except this time they’re allowing us to watch.
