When integrated with music services Tunipop’s technology connects relevant physical goods without pulling them away to a third-party site to purchase. “Tunipop is not a destination e-commerce site,” explains CEO Andy Young. “It is a connection point for suppliers of non-recorded music merchandise to position their products side-by-side wherever music is discovered, purchased, consumed and enjoyed online. The Tunipop database contains authorized items from nearly 2,000 artists and growing.

Today’s music merchandise market, says Young, is highly fractured without standards or a centralized supply chain.  “At a time when the music business is desperate to find new sources of revenue, Tunipop is the first to recognize the value of streamlining the $2.2 billion a year U.S. market, an amount that only reflects those limited number of music artists who actually license their merchandise.”
