SoundCloud Connects To Social Commerce Platforms Moontoast & D.I.Y. Media

image from www.google.com SoundCloud's API is getting quite a workout lately with new partners connecting to its digital audio platform almost daily. The two most recent, Moontoast Impulse and D.I.Y. Media, have similar goals: enabling direct to fan sales on social networks for independent musicians of tracks stored on SoundCloud.  Each takes a slightly different approach, however.

Moontoast Impulse is a Facebook application that lets music fans play, share, and buy directly from within the Facebook. The Impulse storefront lives on an artist’s Facebook page and can be promoted in the artist’s News Feed. Fans are able to listen to tracks, share the store with their friends, and purchase digital downloads, physical merchandise, and tickets.

DIY Media's cloud-based platform is only about about sales of digital, but goes beyond Facebook. Their social commerce widgets can be branded and distributed throughout the web.
