Who Uses Twitter? New Pew Internet Survey Results
13% of online adults use the status update service Twitter as of May 2011. That represents a big increase from the 8% of online adults who identified themselves as Twitter users the first time Pew Internet Research surveyed Twitter adoption in November 2010. Half of Twitter users access the service on a cell phone, and exactly how diverse Twitter users are might surprise you:
