Facebook Adds Skype Video, Group Chat

image from www.google.com Today Facebook announced video chat powered by Skype and a number of upgrades to its messaging system. "A few months ago, we started working with Skype to bring video calling to Facebook,” Facebook announced on its blog. “We built it right into chat, so all your conversations start from the same place. To call your friend, just click the video call button at the top of your chat window.”  Details & Upgrades:

  • A new video chat product powered by Skype that enables users to call their friends from Facebook. To call. users click the video call button at the top of their chat window.
  • An upgraded chat system that includes a sidebar with “the people you message most”
  • Group Chat: “When your friends can’t figure out what movie to see, you can add them to a chat and decide together,” according to Facebook's Phillip Su. “To include more friends in your conversation, select Add Friends to Chat.”

  1. This is going to be immensely useful for me as I video chat almost weekly. Now I’ll get to see live video of those tasty sandwiches my friends are enjoying – no more of this boring photos!

  2. This of course is brought to the worlds attention after Google+ has had this feature running for about a week. Guarantee it will crash within seconds.
