10 Things DJ Shadow Hates About The Music Industry

image from www.google.com Today marks producer and turntablist DJ Shadow's 20th year in the music business, and the release of his latest album The Less You Know, The Better. In a recent self-written post to Black Book, Shadow explains 10 things he hates about the music industry, touching upon the topics of oversaturation (quantity over quality), the demise of the record store and MTV.

"It annoys me when I hear artists talk about the 200-odd songs they left off their latest masterpiece.

How is that supposed to make us feel better about the end product?"

  1. I agree with the DJ Shadow, the songs you left off might be the biggest hits you’ve ever recorded, but yet they were left on the cutting room floor for another day, suppose you don’t get another try? Bummer.
    In reality it’s the fans that will make final decision, they are the Final judges in the end.
