Spotify Hits 2.4M U.S. Visitors & Here’s Who The Are

image from www.google.comThree months after launch, Spotify has amassed 2.4 million monthly U.S. visitors says ComScore. That's a very strong start for a service that was initially invitation-only. Who are all of these new users?

image from blog.comscore.comSpotify is currently drawing an audience that resembles the traditional early adopter, according to Comscore.Nearly 3 in 5 visitors are male, 50% are between the ages of 18-34, and 24% are from households making at least $100,000 annually. Each of these demographic segments index significantly higher than average. That's significant because opinion-leaders often influence those around them.

  1. I know this from my personal use of the service that Spotify WILL be the dominant streaming service. Other then a few slow loading times on my iPhone, I’m a paying subscriber and plan on being one for the rest of time.
It’s also a good sign when you see certain people who, let’s just say run other music services, using Spotify on Facebook ;p

  2. I replaced my hard drive on my MacBook about a month ago and I’ve had ‘permissions’ issues with iTunes ever since… I’m finally taking it into the Geniuses this weekend, but in the meantime while iTunes isn’t working right, Spotify has been really convenient! I wish there was a free app for the iPhone though, even if it were limited and with ads.
