Moontoast Gets $6 Million For Social Commerce Platform & Analytics

image from www.hypebot.comMusician, celebrity and brand social commerce platform Moontoast has secured $6 million in new funding in a round was led by Nashville venture capital firm The Martin Companies.  Other current investors are also participating in the round. News that the the direct to fan platform was seeking additional funding leaked in December.   

That same month, the Boston and Nashville based company named Errol Apostolopoulos as VP Products. Prior to joining Moontoast, Apostolopoulos had been Head of Innovation at e-commerce solutions provider Optaros.

What Is Moontoast?

Launching in 2010, "Moontoast Analytics closes the loop between social media and social commerce, giving brand managers the tools and insight they need to successfully measure and engage their communities with relevant and optimized offers,” according to Moontoast CEO Blair Heavey. “As the social commerce space matures, Moontoast Analytics will be a vital tool to help brands connect with their social audience, open new customer acquisition channels, and reward fans through unique commerce offers.”
