X5 Music Confirms Licensing Deals With Cooking Vinyl, Welk Music Group & OneRPM

X5 Music Group has confirmed licensing deals with three top independent label groups – Cooking Vinyl, Welk Music Group (Vanguard, Sugar Hill) and South American digital distribution leader OneRPM. These signings build on the success of the X5's unique model which focuses on back catalogs and custom compilations. X5 has sold more than a 250,000 million songs to date digitally, and dominates most classical charts including 15 of the top 20 slots on the current Amazon’s MP3 charts.

Throughout 2012, X5 Music Group plans to release hundreds of customized digital compilation albums each month from the new catalog signings.

About The Labels

The UK-based Cooking Vinyl includes releases from Prodigy, Groove Armada, and The Cranberries, soon to followed by a new albums from Marilyn Manson and The Cult and catalog from The Cowboy Junkies, Ryan Adams, Ron Sexsmith, Richard Thompson, Frank Black, Billy Bragg and more.

Welk Music Group is owned by the Welk family and is comprised of Vanguard Records, Sugar Hill Records and Ranwood Records.
