Only Music Announcement At Wednesday’s Apple Event: A Major GarageBand Upgrade
Apple unveiled a new iPad model at an event in San Francisco today. It has a sharper screen and a faster processor but still costs $499. That's cool news. But what about a little Apple love for musicians and music lovers? There wasn't much, except for a major upgrade to GarageBand:
- Smart Strings – an automatic string orchestra
- a Note Editor for fine-tuning recordings
- support for iCloud song syncing
- expanded sharing options including SoundCloud
- users can now jam wirelessly with other iOS device users via Jam Session.
- Connect up to four iOS devices over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
- Play and Jam Session will synchronize tempo, key and chords
