Turntable.fm Co-Founder Re-Focuses On DJZ EDM Hub, Raises $1 Million

image from www.google.com(UPDATED) A year after it's meteoric rise, Turntable.fm is floundering despite $7M in funding. So co-founder Seth Goldstein is shifting focus to launch start-up, DJZ.  Pronounced “Dee-Jays”,  it is being described as "a cross between the Huffington Post and MTV" for the DJ and EDM communities.

$1 million in seed funding was raised from Atom Factory (lead by Lady GaGa manager Troy Carter), Google Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Index Ventures, True Ventures, and Advancit Capital, according to the New York Times.

Scheduled to launch on October 31st (Halloween), DJZ will combine music, videos, news and playlists from top DJ's a;ong with a healthy "how to" component.
